Like many great brands, Skullcandy was born out of a problem. Our founder, Rick Alden, was riding a chairlift in Park City, Utah. He was listening to music, but needed to take a call. Of course, technology at the time made it impossible to switch from his music player to his phone. So Rick decided that the world needed a better solution. He'd start a company that would not only make a better headphone, but also make it fit the snowboarding lifestyle. That was the moment when Skullcandy became the original audio lifestyle brand. And we've never looked back.

Our office in Park City, Utah, proudly sits in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains at exactly 6,434 feet. Since we’re the kind of people who tend to be inspired by skyscrapers of the natural variety, we can think of no better place to work.

We’re a diverse bunch at Skullcandy. Walk down any row of desks and you’ll run into the widest range of people you can imagine. From former professional athletes to aspiring filmmakers and band members. But no matter who we are individually, we’re all united by something bigger: Our passion for our brand and for each other.
